Aflac Gears Up for 2008 with New Paint Scheme on the No. 99 Ford Fusion Driven By Carl Edwards

Neon green is the new black in '08

Columbus, Ga. – Jan. 17, 2008 – Aflac Incorporated (NYSE: AFL) has a brand-new look for Roush Fenway Racing’s No. 99 Ford Fusion driven by NASCAR veteran Carl Edwards. Edwards will be flying around the oval in style in what is likely to be the most vivid-colored car on the track in 2008. With the main color neon green and the secondary color shades of blue, it will be hard to miss this car — even at speeds of 200 mph. Aflac will serve as the primary sponsor of Edwards and the No. 99 car for eight races in the 2008 NASCAR Sprint Cup season.

"Aflac is proud of its sponsorship of the No. 99 car and Carl Edwards, and we wanted to make sure it left a lasting impression on race fans in 2008," said Paul S. Amos II, president, Aflac; COO, U.S. Operations. "The new paint scheme exudes tremendous energy and we know it will attract attention, especially with Carl behind the wheel."

"I am so excited to be racing with the duck in 2008 for eight races," said Edwards, who had three wins in the Nextel Cup Series in 2007. "With the new paint scheme, it will be hard to miss us on the track, and I look forward to bringing the checkered flag home in style."

The new paint scheme will debut in early March at the Atlanta Motor Speedway for the Kobalt Tools 500. For more information, including images of the new paint scheme, please visit www.aflacracing.com.
